Proper amounts of calcium enhance the growth of purple, pink and green calcareous algaes, snails, hard tube worms and clams. It also helps corals open more and stay attached to their skeletons. Kent Marine Liquid Calcium Marine Aquarium Supplement provides bio-available calcium to promote this growth with long-term results. It contains no phosphates, nitrates, gluconates, EDTA or other organics that can raise DOC levels. While Kent Marine Liquid Calcium Marine Aquarium Supplement alone provides all the calcium your reef will need, it is recommended for use with Kent Kalkwasser Mix for best results.

Instructions

Shake well before using. Add 1-5 ml (1/4 to 1 tsp) per 50 gallons of aquarium water each day. Different reef systems have different calcium needs. To determine the calcium usage of your system, monitor by testing aquarium water daily for a week and replacing an equal amount of calcium. Natural seawater contains approximately 420 ppm of calcium. Recommended levels of calcium in an enclosed marine system should be between 400 to 450 ppm.
